Poorman's Staccato - Part 4 and wrap up

After three and a half weeks, my slide came back from Dave at DSC Gunworks, and all I can say is—WOW. Dave absolutely crushed it. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall execution are second to none. This guy is a true master of his craft.

This was my first time working on a 2011-pattern pistol, and I have to say—it was a blast. Way more involved than any Glock build I’ve done before. To most enthusiasts, Glocks might look complex, but once you’ve worked on a 1911 or 2011 platform, you realize just how simple Glocks really are by comparison. The tolerances, the fitting, the overall design—it all demands a higher level of gunsmithing, and I loved every minute of it.

Before shipping the slide back, Dave even sent over some preview shots—and he added a really thoughtful touch: a South Korean flag subtly placed between “Roof” and “Korean.” That detail was unexpected and very much appreciated.
